Reverend Toña Morales−Calkins

Toña is our webmaster and a founder of BlessingCasters. Raised a Christian, Toña “followed Jesus back to the synagogue,” where she found more life and joy than she could have imagined. She made her formal conversion, and has been happy ever since. Toña is a perpetual student, studying Tanakh, Talmud, Halakah, the Christian Scriptures, Jewish and Christian Mysticism, and Biblical Hebrew. She has trained over 50 B'nai Mitzvah students and taught at two Hebrew Schools. A teacher by profession and training, Toña brings a fresh approach to Bible study, spiritual direction and life cycle events. Her belief that God has called us to be co–creators, blessers, and to empower others is what lead her to help create the BlessingCasters. Toña is fluent in Spanish.

Reverend Mary Calkins

Mary is a founder of BlessingCasters. Mary is a dedicated, lifelong Christian, reared in the Lutheran tradition. Mary took a part in both the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and the Jesus People Movement. A trained psychotherapist, Mary offers deep emotional support and insight as she does pastoral counseling, leads Bible study and officiates at life cycle events. Mary practices intercessory prayer and meditation as a part of her spiritual walk. Her belief that Jesus taught us to find our true selves by seeking God, and to praise whatever our circumstances brought her to partner in founding the BlessingCasters.
